Dwayne Johnson’s ‘San Andreas’ Shoots Briefly in L.A., Returns to Australia - Even though the movie takes place in a California ravaged by a mammoth 9.0 shaker, almost none of it is shot in the Golden State. Johnson portrays a copter pilot who rescues his daughter in San Francisco, where less than a week of shooting is taking place — mostly “plate” shots to establish location.

Smuin Ballet, SF Ballet, Jimmy Buffet, Sense8, Need for Speed, San Andreas, Ant-Man, Murder in the First

TheaterLights, costumes, action: 20 years of Smuin Ballet - Val Caniparoli, Smuin’s former San Francisco Ballet colleague, concludes the program with his premiere that Fushille describes as having “humor and tongue-and-cheek quirkiness.” Caniparoli wanted to call it
“everything but the kitchen sink,” but Fushille suggested something Italian to echo his heritage and the music by Verdi. So he titled it “Tutto Eccetto il Lavandino” meaning, “everything but the kitchen sink.”
